PEPL - Monthly meeting, September 9 at 7pm at Robert Crown Branch Library
2nd Annual PEPL Read-A-Thon
This year's Read-A-Thon will be held on Saturday, September 21. This year we are raising funds through donations/sponsorship time slots for EPL's collections. We are asking PEPL supporters to help spread the word and encourage participation! Businesses, organizations and even small groups of friends, book clubs etc are asked to donate $100 for an hour of reading. Individuals can also participate for $25. During the Read-A-Thon, participants can read silently or read aloud to each other. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Evanston Public Library to help support EPL's collections and its commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. In honor of the PEPL Read-A-Thon's second year in 2024, our goal is raise at least $2024 for the library's collections.
Folks/groups can participate at Robert Crown Library or the Main library during a specific time slot on Saturday, Sept 21 or groups may organize a location on their own. We envision that some businesses/groups may make a direct donation or perhaps group members will get sponsors to donate on their behalf to support their hour of reading.

Show Your Library Love and DONATE TODAY!!!!
The year-end Reimagine Campaign is always important - but during our 150th anniversary and as we welcome in EPL's new executive director - this campaign will be crucial to maintain the stability necessary for our success in the coming year.
For 150 years EPL has been turning readers into leaders and community builders. As EPL prepares to start a new era of leadership, we are asking for your support to ensure that EPL can continue to grow and become the Library that this community deserves.
As we consider the exciting possibilities for the Library’s future, we must recognize that EPL is very limited by the lack of funding. EPL continues to receive about half the tax revenue of our neighboring libraries, making non-tax revenue increasingly necessary for EPL's future.
Please make a gift today. If you need to make a gift to a non-profit then you can donate through PEPL and the donation will be passed onto the EPL.
We hope that if EPL holds a special place in your heart, you will consider making a gift during the Reimagine Campaign that is meaningful to you.
